If things were normal, the Bolivia mission would be returning from Sucre. Of course we would have to ask, “What is normal?” Our office would be well into the formation and planning of the Navajo and University mission to Sucre, but we are in a time of disorder. Waiting to redefine what we mean by normal.
We are now in quarantine through May, assuming we remain Covid-19 free. We have received an update from Marlie, our partner in the Philippines, and they are dealing with the COVID-19 just as we are. Those in Manila and Cebu are under quarantine as well, but since the people are not following the quarantine guidelines very well, they might have to enforce stricter guidelines. We have been providing assistance to our nurses on the frontlines at the two triage portals. We also are working to continue the ongoing care of our patients of this year’s mission. We ask you keep the people of the Philippines in your prayers, as we continue to hold you in our prayers for recovery from the COVID-19 in the United States.

Now we invite your thoughts. Please share in the comments section below. And while you’re here, continue on a virtual mission by reading more of our stories and reflections as we discover together how “We are Mission”.
